Unity3D experiments

Had some time to have a play with getting 3D content into a game engine, namely Unity3D. The process was altogether a very pleasant experience. As long as character rigs were kept simple or baked to simple FK bones the importing process was a breeze, through Lightwave 3D. I could even create a ‘dynamic link’ between software that made the process even more fluid.

I also tried out a bit what Mixamo had to offer with it’s library of animation and pretty impressive online auto-rigger, heaven knows how that works 🙂
